Back pain

Most back pain is muscle strain and eases within days to a couple weeks.

When it's usually nothing
  • Started after lifting, twisting, or a long day of sitting.
  • Better with movement, warm compress, or a gentle stretch.
  • No numbness or weakness in your legs.
When to get checked
  • Loss of bladder or bowel control.
  • Weakness, numbness, or tingling in the legs.
  • Pain after a fall, fever, or unexplained weight loss.
