Nausea

Nausea often comes from a virus, food, or stress — and passes.

When it's usually nothing
  • Small sips of water or ginger tea help.
  • You had a suspicious meal or are around others who feel sick.
  • No blood in vomit, no severe belly pain.
When to get checked
  • Can't keep any liquid down for 24 hours.
  • Blood in vomit, severe belly pain, or signs of dehydration.
  • Nausea with chest pain or a severe headache.

Take a breath. Let's figure this out together.
