Nausea
Nausea often comes from a virus, food, or stress — and passes.
When it's usually nothing
- Small sips of water or ginger tea help.
- You had a suspicious meal or are around others who feel sick.
- No blood in vomit, no severe belly pain.
When to get checked
- Can't keep any liquid down for 24 hours.
- Blood in vomit, severe belly pain, or signs of dehydration.
- Nausea with chest pain or a severe headache.
